DIRECTIONS:
Alexander Michael’s is tucked away in the 4th Ward of uptown Charlotte N.C. It is sometimes difficult to find on the first try. (We like that about us). The following directions should help you get here.
Note: GPS based systems / maps such as Mapquest or Magellan will get you close but they do not recognize two dead end streets within a block of Alexander Michael’s. (West 9th Street & North Pine Street) This can be frustrating to “Tech-heads” and people that think they know how to get everywhere without asking. . We are trying to educate the various GPS companies but meanwhile………
Coming North or South on I-77: Take exit 11A. This is I-277 / Brookshire Blvd. Take the 1st exit which is Graham Street. When you come to Graham Street make a left, go one block and make a left onto West 9th Street. We are at the end of the first block on the right.
From East Charlotte / Independence Blvd.: If you are coming into uptown via Independence Expressway exit onto Brookshire Freeway. Take the Church Street exit. When you come to Church Street turn Left. Go two blocks and turn right onto West 10th Street. Go ˝ block and make a left turn onto Poplar Street. Make an immediate right onto Settlers Lane. Settlers Lane will take a 9o degree turn to the left and bring you Alexander Michael’s on the corner of West 9th Street and Pine Street.
From South Blvd.: As you come to the uptown area on South Blvd. cross over I-277. Turn left onto Stonewall Street. Stonewall turns into Graham Street as you cross Mint Street (at Panther’s Stadium). Follow Graham about 1 ˝ miles to West 9th Street. Turn right onto West 9th Street. We are on the right at the end of the first block.
Coming into uptown from the Southeast / Providence Road: Take 4th Street (one way) through town. Cross Tryon Street and go 3 blocks to Graham Street. Make a right turn onto Graham Street. Go to West 9th Street (approx. 1 mile) and turn right. We are on the right at the end of the first block.
