Parking for Alexander Michael’s is free and usually plentiful

if you know a few things. . .

Public Parking for Alexander Michael's is available on the street and in the parking lot on 9th Street between Graham & Pine (beside the children;s park).

One: There are parking signs that are written in the English language, but yet do not convey a clear meaning. Here is what they mean: You can park for two hours WITHOUT a parking permit anytime.

Two: The signs are placed in peculiar places such as further away from the curb that you are use to or in people’s yard behind trees. This is to prevent damage to the brick sidewalks.

Three: Make sure you do not park near a corner. There are signs that tell you this but you have to look foe them. They are further away from the corner’s edge that you may think appropriate but this is actually for a very good reason that we fully support. Most of the streets in 4th Ward are not very wide. A clearance to accommodate fire trucks must be maintained so as not to hinder their turning radius in an emergency.

Four: Please DO NOT BLOCK our neighbors’ driveways. When you’re a neighborhood Tavern you should be a good neighbor. Please help us with that when you’re our guest.

**If you still have doubts about your parking place please ask us. We will be happy to put your mind at ease so you can enjoy your time at Alexander Michael’s, and if you feel that you’ve had too much to drink we will be glad to show you where you can park your car overnight and take a taxi home.**
